It uses four XL Motors, one for each wheel and an M Motor for steering.
The XL Motors are mounted to the wheels, so they move with the steering.
I use a Sbrick, a third party Bluetooth receiver for controlling but it is also possible to build it using the IR receivers from Lego.
All is powered by a removable normal battery box.
